In its over 120 years, ChildServ has built better lives for more than 130,000 at-risk children and families. Annually, ChildServ helps more than 2,800 children and families contending with trauma, neglect and economic hardship through our Illinois locations in Cook, Kane, Lake and DuPage counties.
Hope Houses allow children who come into ChildServ care to expand their creativity, and to bond with their parent or foster parent through the incredible power of play. One of the children who received a Hope House recently is “Beth.” “Beth” is a child in foster care who loves dolls and, before receiving her Hope House, had been making her own houses, beds and furniture for her dolls from cardboard. She absolutely cherishes her Hope House. It makes her feel that she is loved, and that she is home.
