Bring life and light to your dollhouse with this teeny tiny adorable nativity scene!  Teeny tiny variations produce big differences among the people and these sheep are super simple.

What do you need?

For the people: Beads, lots of them that can stack on top of each other. Some fabric, something natural or a boring brown…it’s conflicts with my pink hair!  Find some string, a fine point marker, some paint if you want to color beads or need a sticky surface for your marker and some glue.

For the flock: Something fuzzy…hmmm. A snip or two off that old dust rag, some dark colored string, a tiny rubberband or anything to make a sheep body and some wire – the same wire for shepherds staff.

glue…it seems we love to get sticky with glue!

The Steps!

Imagine, a flock of shepherds with just these simple supplies. Paint is optional if your marker doesn't stick to your beads.

How many beads tall are you? Stack the bead that will get the smile on top and consider different body colors for shepherds, Joseph and Mary.

Paint can help the lines for your face to stick to the bead. You can paint the body beads a different color too!

Cut a length of string long enough to tie around the beads. This can be a belt for Mary or a headband for a shepherd.

Trim a piece of cloth that will fold over the head. Keep it long for a shawl or trim it shorter for a headpiece.

The shepherds I know have beards, or you can turn this into Mary with a pretty smile.

We'll certainly know the difference when your shepherd is holding a staff made from bent wire. Now onto the flock.

The flock is super simple, just keep you on them so none escape. This is what you'll need.

Cut a piece of your fuzzy fabric and dark cord about an inch long.

Bend that cord in half and tie it or use a tiny rubberband.

Now wrap that fuzzy fabric around the dark cord leaving a head to pop out one end.

My sheep friends all have legs. Cut two pieces of wire long enough to become two front or two back legs.

Hmmmmm....yup, bend them in the shape of an M.

And use some glue and press them into position. These sheep will stand for hours...days...even weeks so make them stick.

Now take one last piece of wire, about the same length as the leg pieces, and bend the ends over like ears. Tuck them in and give them some glue. That's a fine looking sheep. What do you think? How did your project turn out? Share Wreathlet photos with #UnlockImagination !
