“Seeds planted are like wishes, and a harvest of vegetables and flowers are the wishes granted”…who does the gardening in your dollhouse family?  This simple container garden is fun and easy to make, and remember to leave a few rows empty to add different plants as the season progresses.  Right now it’s time to get those hardy carrots, cabbage and onions started.  This one is pretty as can be and easy as a snap-pea…lets get this garden-party started!

The Steps!

Turn some super basic household goodies into a flourishing garden with different color scrap fabrics, some tiny hair bands or wire, a box top and an egg carton. Reserve your largest and darkest piece of fabric for the soil.

What size will your garden be? Find a small box top that works for your dollhouse. Mine is clad in limestone block...wink wink...cut from an empty egg carton.

Till the soil and make straight rows by cutting your dark fabric so it's the width of the box top and about 2 1/2 times as long. Use a layer of glue on the bottom of the box to hold your fabric down. Now fold your fabric with the ripples that will become your rows. Make these rows high enough to bury your carrots!

Purple cabbage sauteed with fresh garlic - that's my favorite. Find a good main color fabric then add a pop of another before you roll these up and fasten tight at the base with a band or wire. An inch or two of fabric is all you need.

What are your favorite veggies? We're using some beads for onions and found some bright orange fabric to roll tight into carrots. Take a look here for some veg-inspiration!

This garden is flourishing and I'm guessing Momma doll will be out soon to gather some veggies for dinner. What other veggies did you create for your carton garden? We all would love to see...share the produce of your imagination using #UnlockImagination
