Bitty Bookshelf
I love to read, especially stories that take me places I couldn’t have imagined otherwise. I usually share my books after reading them, and still I like to hang onto favorites for another read another day. Here’s an itty bitty bookshelf you can upcycle in no time, and some help with doll-sized book making.
First, you’ll need to find an old box…the size you want for your bookshelf. I think a bracelet came in this little box. Look for some cardboard you can cut for book shelves, colorful paper for book covers – old magazines work great for bitty little book covers. The people next door had a birthday party and leftover stickers for hanging decorations. These will work great to add thickness to the books and keep the covers on. Grab some glue and lets get to building!
The Steps!

I'm using a bracelet box for my bookshelf.

I cut some cardboard to fit snugly inside the bookshelf. Two shelves, plust the bottom of the box gives me three shelves for all my favorites.

Put a little glue on the short sides and one long side, and fit that in snug so all three glued sides bond to the box.

I adore decor, so I painted my bookshelf a nice beige that will show off the colorful books.

Now lets make some books. I'm using these left over stickers, and you can use anything that gives your books some body. Cardboard with double sided tape on each side...a thin piece of wood with covers glued on...anything is possible when you imagine big!

I think it's easiest to cut your colorful paper book covers to width, then wrap the book body and trim the cover to fit. There must be at least 1,472 ways to do this if you just try.

We're loving our new bitty bookshelf! It looks great with books and some other decorations. Hey share your bitty bookshelf creation with us using #UnlockImagination and don't ever stop reading :-)
