The hum of children using their imaginations and creating with their hands is music to my ears.  Sometime though, even and Imagination Angel needs to get her jam on!  This Sham-Boom Box with compact disc player says dance party!

The Steps!

What you'll need....The top to a shampoo bottle, two smaller caps, small and flat enough to be the speakers, a nail for the antenna and some beads to jazz up this party.

I'm making my speakers out of lids that need a little trimming to fit flat and snug on the front of the boom box. Careful when you trim :-)

My family has black paint left over from the wood stove project...did you see that one? Paint your speakers if their color isn't already dark.

Next, lets attach the antenna with some glue. I used a bead at the base to steady the antenna and give more surface for my glue to stick. I'll tell you about how I glued my wings together by accident another time ;-)

Next, let's add some buttons to the front of the boom box with a little more glue. Beads, tiny cut scraps, anything will do here to give this a super duper sham-boom box look.

Go ahead and attach the speakers now. It's really taking shape!

Times, they sure are a-changing. This boom box plays compact discs. You can cut these CD's out of any old scraps, cardboard or find something already thin and round. Punch some holes in the middle so it fits inside the CD player and grab your dancing shoes. POOF...you did it! Now call your friends and let have a dance party. Afterwards...share your boom box with others using #UnlockImagination. Till next time...ta ta!
