A fairy-sized ceiling light fixture for your dollhouse…now this is a bright idea!  I’m showing you some basics on brightening up your spaces with one fixture, and you’ll see with some imagination you can create different looking fixtures for every room in your dollhouse.  Shine bright friends!

Household items you’ll need…

A Popsicle stick, large bead for globe and something that will mount flat against the ceiling like a pretty ornament ring from a broken ornament.  I used tacky clay to mount the switch and fixture.

The Steps!

First, let's gather all the items we'll need to upcycle and install a light fixture and switch. This is a large bead and I'm using ring from an old broken Christmas ornament. That green blob is some adhesive putty we'll use to hold it all together.

First lets make the wall switch. This is a 'snap' with just a small piece of Popsicle stick and tiny bead just long enough to look like a switch.

Next lets use some glue to glue our globe into the ornament ring - i love the gold and white combination and you might want to hunt down a match for your decor. Last, I glued a tiny blue bead to the very bottom to add some fancy-pants detail.

Use that adhesive putty to mount your fixture and switch where you want them.

I'm putting this light just inside the front door so I don't stumble coming in from my midnight fairy plans.
