“If ifs and ands were pots and pans, there’d be no work for tinkers’ hands.”  Here at Hope Houses Workshop, we believe in what ifs. We also believe in tinkering! Pots and pans are not just for cooking—they’re for making music and doing science experiments. What kitchen would be complete without them? IF you have these simple supplies AND you’re ready for some homemade fun, this is how we do pots and pans.

The Steps!

What do you need? Look around for some small caps and lids---they always come in handy for miniature upcycled crafts. Try different sizes to make a cookware collection. You will need thin dowels for the long pot handles, beads for the short handles, a hot glue gun and wire cutters. Pull out your paintbrush along with some black paint and let’s get cooking!

Cut beads in half with wire cutters and cut dowels down to size.

Attach handle pieces to caps with hot glue for big pots.

Use whole beads with dowels to form bases for longer handle pans.

Black paint! Lots of it! All surfaces need to be covered; paint in stages and let dry.

Display so it looks like home and POOF! Pots and pans, dollhouse-style. We’d love to see your pots and pans in action! Share pics using #UnlockImagination.
